Burger Cult supports solo play and online co-op for up to four players. It does not impose job classes, but the confirmed kitchen workflow naturally supports stable ownership of register, stations, assembly, and running duties.
Four-player starting roles
- Register: reads customers, enters orders, and calls active tickets.
- Hot line: owns grills and fryers and reports finished items.
- Cold line and assembly: handles drinks, desserts, sandwiches, and final ticket checks.
- Runner: fulfills bags, handles overflow, and scouts closeout duties.
Two-player and solo adaptation
With two players, split front-of-house and kitchen ownership, then collapse both roles during closeout. Solo players must limit optional order channels and overtime until the cost of moving between stations is known.
Keep voice calls short
Voice chat is a gameplay system. Certain phrases trigger incantations, Profanity Policy can punish words, and yelling during a hunt attracts Asset Joy. Use short station calls during service and reduce speech once closeout begins.
Decide three things before clock-in
- Who has final authority to clock out
- Which optional order channels are enabled
- Whether the group leaves immediately at quota or attempts a fixed overtime target
Closeout regroup rule
Only survivors receive a payout. Because one death reduces the team split, the runner should call the route to the hatch and the group should avoid turning a finished duty list into four separate escape attempts.
